C&C's are a hard cushion, so if you want a sofa style, it's not for you. In my opinion, the hard cushion style seats are better in the long run, unlike some of the Harley stock seats that get soft after xxxxx miles put on them.

If it's anything like saddles on a horse, I prefer the old hard saddles over the cushy ones they put out these days.

Seats are hard to recommend to someone else because we're all built individually, so a seat that's a gift from heaven for one guy is a nitemare to another.

Mustang, Danny Gray, Corbin and C&C are the most popular of the solos. Watch on the forum here for seats for sale. You can often get a like-new seat for a good deal here.

I am not sure how you define a long ride but my current C&C solo works just fine on a 400-450 mile day.

When I used to do long distance riding which covered some 825-900 mile days I would have nothing but a Russell Day Long seat.

Comfort is a relative thing...what's comfortable to one person is a pain in the **** to someone else. When I bought my 2008 FLHX it came with a Sundowner seat that I hated. Went to a Danny Gray Butt Crack and had NO problems on a recent seven-day, ten-state, 3600-miles trip.

That's what I was going to say about my Corbin Classic solo seat. I made the mistake of buying this seat built for someone that has a back-side that's only about 12" to 14" wide. Man was that a mistake on my part.
