transmission noise 2011SG
Just bought a 2011SG with the 96 noticed tonite when i pulled in garage transmiision making strange noise when put into neutral not a clunk hard to explain. Fluid is at right level shifts fine and no slipping. Any ideas

If you havn't got a lot of miles let it break in for 800 miles or so. You have a two year warrantee so get out and run it around and see if it changes. I couldn't get mine to slip into neutral until close to the 800 mile marker.

I did my 1k maintenance about that time. Went with Syn3 throughout and when I got it back it felt like a completely different bike.

Put some "GOOD GEAR LUBE" in. There are several brands out ther. I use Redline Shock Proof. IMO, stay away from HD 3 Syn. I ran it in my 07 & waht adifferent Redline made. Even the HD tranny/primary is better,
