Glad you had a great ride down there. Took my dad there a few years ago and he had a ball dragging floor boards. I found US29 back in the late 70's quite by accident. Was headed to Knoxville from East NC. Had a great time as few bikes were there then. I am headed down in a couple weeks for a weekday run as a memorial ride as my dad passed away this spring. He really wanted to do that ride again, so my brother and I are doing it for him. Catch you on the curves!
Next trip down try hwy 32 from the intersection of hwy 321 toward NC ...ride up until it becomes dirt and turn around and head back down. This I'll guarantee....you WONT have to worry about tractor trailers....and you'll have lots more fun.
This looks promising! We added this to our list - any guess on how far down before it turns into a dirt road?
