I need to remove my fairing on my new limited to install my garage door opener. My manual is for an 04' and evidently the procedure has changed some. I have removed the obvious screws for the windshield and only found 2 others on the side of the fairing. Where are the other screws located and "yes" I plan on getting a new manual but as of yet I have not
My senior moment guys, I forgot the 2 in the steering area and had to take bike down off of lift so I could turn wheel to get to. I had my old fairing off several times but like I said"Senior moment". Thanks again

Three hold the windshield, one each side on the outer edge and one each side up under the fairing behind the lower tree....Those are a B*TCH to get back in without a magnetic bit.

AMEN to this suggestion. There should be 2 bolts on each side, same as on the older models.
There are 7 bolts over all
3 on the windshield
2 on the inner fairing left and right side
2 under the lower tree
You have to turn the handle bars all the way to the left and all the way to the right to see and get to them.
