Default Softtail or RK

Go to the HD website and look at the lean angle of the two. The softtails just don't do well (especially 2 up) around corners.

As far as the shovel goes, it's pretty hard to get over 20K on a top end rebuild on a shovel. Are you sure you want to do that?

Another vote for the King. Don't think that you need something "unique" because a lot of the time, "unique" means it didn't sell because no-one liked it for what you want!!!!!

Do the Road King, and make it look unique, just remember "if mama ain't happy, nobody is", lol, both are great bikes, but the RK is definetly better for the times you do 2 up. Get yourself a really nice solo seat for when you ride by yourself, it only takes 3 minutes to change seats back.

will the springer be as good for two up riding as the roadking, we dont do alot of touring, mostly day trips, 100 miles at the most. I do more riding by myself.
Get the bike you like. Your gonna be riding it.

I always loved the look of the Heritage. But, when it came right down to it, I chose a Road King. I always loved the look of the Road King, too. I don't do much 2up riding, in fact, I have only ever had to take my son on the back when he was stranded. He's 6'2" and about 230 lbs. He commented how nice the ride was on the back. It is your money and "mama" will love the look of the Heritage, but she'll probably prefer the ride of the Road King. I know I do.
