I've seen some postings that a few folks that have SE caps on their mufflers have not been happy with the quality of the chrome on the caps. Peeling flaking etc.......
I just got a set of Supertrapp slip ons which are basically the same thing as the Screamin Eagle pipes. SE end caps fit and are a bit less expensive than the Supertrapp ones
I'm looking at the black end caps that have the SE script on them and was wondering about the finish and durability compared to the chrome caps.

Anyone have the black caps on their exhaust?
Got a link? I've got the SE's from SuperTrapp and have had them since 07 and no problems yet.
I have 2010 FLHTCUSE5.
I bought it used and just took it to the Dealer for the first time. I did point out the end caps chrome. They ordered me a new pair and will call when they come in no hassle at all.
I have an older set of SE 98B's which are the same as the SuperTrapp SE's. End caps look brand new. I had to replace my baffles once, but not the end caps.
Guess it is hit or miss... I picked up the black end caps with the Screamin Eagle script engraved in them yesterday. I think they are gonna look sharp. Guess we will see how they hold up!
