I've been thinking about going to apes in Dec. I'm thinking 14 or 16 but I don't want my hands above my shoulders. You guys with 16s, how do they fit ya?
Inexpensive route - heritage bars = no wiring or cable changes and you may or may not like the riding position.
Expensive solution (for me) - wild one 10" mini apes (515) = internal wiring, +2 clutch and +4 brake cables, switch wire extension, throttle extension not needed. Great clean look, added chrome controls and diamondback cables. Very comfortable.
When I spoke to tech support I was told the only mod required for the 10's was control wiring extensions. ETC, brake lines, & clutch cable are suppose to be uneffected. Is this NOT right?

I bought my package from hdbikeparts.com (Johnny Vaughn). The clutch and brake extended cables is what they recommend. Even at +4 on the brake line, its a little snug but works. Maybe could have got away with stock clutch but took their advice as I wanted new braided cables anyway. Definitely need switch wire extensions. The ETC wire has plenty of slack in the nacelle so I didnt need that. You can get the ETC extension that eliminates the green connector and makes it easier to fish thru bars but not required.
