So, I buy a"11 sg 96"about a month ago. I work with this guy...long story short...always had to one yup everyone. So I show up to work today and theres a bike just like mine...except 103 on the derby cover...he says it's brands new, 2012...
I go out side to get a closer look..don't see an oil cooler. It's mounted right in front?? Right?? Also, there's rust on areas of the bike...looks more like a 2011 with about 5000 miles on it. The vin# is the same as my bike, except for the last 4 numbers.
Is there a way to tell what year the bike is...and if it's a 103 or not??
You can try this site to decode his vin if you have it. Clicky Here
After you punch in the spam code words you will want to actually click the Decode Vin button instead of hitting Enter. Doesn't want to work if you hit enter it seems.
I entered in what you have above and it shows it as a 2011 model street glide. It did not show engine size though so maybe someone else can help on that.

Reason: Add stuff.
2011 street glide could have either motor. The 103 comes with ABS and the security system as a package.
What he said. The 2011s had the "power pack" option. Tell him it has the same cams as yours. I am sure he will have something to say about that. Or....Tell him his wife looks better on your bike
