Default Warning Lights on

I have an '05 Ultra Classic with about 35,000 miles on it. While I was out riding and about 6 or 7 miles from home both the amber & red light started flickering. I made a quick turn around and headed back home. By the time I made it home, both were on steady. I noticed that the bike has not been starting as quickly as it once did and that the cruise is no longer working, but I believe the cruise is a separate issue.

The bike is now out in the garage. Any quick advise on what I need to do?

Next day.....
At this point I have managed to pull a code of P0562 which seems to indicate a low charging voltage issue. I put a voltmeter on and the battery & it only shows 12.0 volts both when it is off & when the motor running so the alternator is definately non operational.
I do have the manual, but can not find any thing about diagnostics and testing only about R&R. Any tips on trouble shooting this? It is obviously either the alternator, regulator or wiring, but how do I tell which one?

Any resolution? I'm in a similar situation. How are you getting the trouble code? Only my battery light came on before I headed home. No charging at the battery.

Stators are sometimes an issue. Others will know more and advise.

I found it on the net by asking the question. Managed to find 3 wires burned. Fixed those and son's 650 honda was back charging the battery. Hey, it's worth a try.
Kroozeabout.

As a final resolution to this, I discovered that the stator was totally fried. It was bad enough that the regulator had to be replaced also. I am more of a tractor or truck mechanic, but this was one of the worst I have seen. Four of the windings were completely melted or burnt up.
