what oil do you run in primary?

Same as the motor full synthetic 20-50. When I drained the factory fill It was thicker, I think it was 50 or maybe 60weight. Tried running ATF for a few miles but that made the chain really noisy so I drained it out. Plus the Mobil 1 syth ATF has a real strong smell and that can get confusing if your watching out for a stator problem odor. When it was still in the drain pan, my wife passed thru the garage and asked me if perhaps an animal pee'd inside the garage without me knowing it. I found that interesting.

Just regular Castrol 20W-50 motor oil. The primary doesn't need anything fancy or synthetic. Change it every 5k.

F + change it every time I change the motor oil, I just can't bring myself to go 10K as HD says it can go.

Amsoil 20-50
I change it every 5000 miles just because it's easy.
