Delete fairing from Street Glide?

+1, I swapped back to the stock windshield after trying several
I saw on another thread where JES makes the Fork wind deflectors. Their web site says they work on the SG with the auxiliary light kit. I am looking at these myself but I hate to cough up 168 bucks. I am looking for a cheaper option. I have everything else on mine as far as correcting the buffing. Its getting pricey just to try to resolve the problem.

Holy ****... It's a motorcycle...There's gonna be wind...after 35 years of riding hardtail sportsters that I built in the garage I feel like I'm in a Cadillac every time I ride the FLHX. I'm almost embarrassed at how smooth and comfy this bike is...

Put a tall windshield and wind deflectors all over it and you'll ruin the looks of it anyway, just sayin.

If the OP is having trouble with wind buffeting issues with a fairing and a windshield, how would taking it all off make things better, wouldnt there be more wind without anything at all??

What if i wanted to delete the fairing just for the hell of it? most of the wiring under the batwing is for the radio and such will be removed, what other issues might one encounter. (i have a doner RK front end to scavenge parts from)
