I got the HD cheap ones I thnk they were 37 bucks... fit is OK, I had to remove my crash bar mounted driving lights and move my highway pegs to get them to fit. No big deal.
You can nip a piece out of the sides to fit over your highway pegs.
as luck had it my soft lowers fit perfectly around my highway pegs. also, i installed the fork-mounted wid deflectors, i'm very comfortable into the upper 30's at highway speeds. 'course, i was born very warm-blooded, he!! i don't even put on a heavy coat until it's in the low teens!
I like the HD soft lowers $37.00.
Yep they're ugly , but I'm still riding in upstate NY. (it gets a little cold up here)
Got happy feet and legs because of them.
Tall windshield , fork air baffle , and fairing air deflectors also for that "finished look"
the driving lights were useless anyway... the SilverStar bulb in the headlight is so bright I don't need them anymore.
And the pegs were set for my friends ergo's, not mine so it gave me an excuse to put them where they should be for my riding position.
Yes they are somewhat ugly, however, I am 6' 1" and weight about 140 on a good day soaking wet, hehehe. So I get cold if the temp is under 75 degrees. I just don't have any insulation. I am in the lower right hand corner of alabama, so they will only be on the bike a few months. I wear long johns, I have chaps and jacket, gloves. Will post pic next time I am suited up.
All you guys are great, I really apppreciate the advice. Thanks again. Keep'em coming!!!!
