Yeah man thats a bich pushing a Ultra even 100 feet. Did you run the DTC on the bike? Does the LED light up on the ODO? Here is a link on how to run the test codes, check the battery cables again, sometimes they will be slightly loose and some things will work but not all, had it happen to me.
I have the old syle security like you do (push button). I have had problems turning it off in certain locations (not sure why maybe interference). Is your security light (red key) on or flashing? what you are describing sounds like the security is enabled.
Could you have inadvertently pushed the fob button while in your pocket?
Not sure it will help, but you can try disabling the security via the turn signals. the instructions on how to do that is in the owners manual.
I know you say its not the battery cables as you have lights and radio. But have you actually put a wrench on the cables? Also if you have a battery tender I would throw that on for a bit and then see what you get.
It's not the battery cables: lights, radio all work fine.
It could still be loose cables, including at the starter itself. There may be enough juice and a good enough ground to run the lights and radio but not enough to crank the motor.
