Question rain groves

Those running the Metz, tried lower PSI F/R ?

Good bad ??

They seem to follow the rain groves at 50 lowered to 45 and it cured the problem. but what I am going to loose ?

[QUOTE=trackadaptor;8725322]No worries, LoL....

Just put 200 miles - all twisty's on the new Metz 880 - Love them, almost makes my FLHTCU handle as good as my '02 Goldwing well ok just wishful thinking out loud......

Had a great opertunity to have some heavy Fog down 84hwy to hwy 9 on the Run for the kids, making the rode's wet, No Problems, big time Happy !!

Could be just me , but with 42psi F / 50psi R riding two up Sunday, bike actually feels 2" higher, LOL .....

So $ 310 otd mounted balance - great tire missed them , now I rememebr why I ran them on my Goldwing....

Again Great Feed Back - I'll update after 2k miles

On my old wing I tried all the major brands but settled on the Metz 880s, They seemed to grip best with the tar snakes, and on wet roads. Also had a good medium life fairly soft tire about 10k to 13k these are Radial tires, and I mostly needed to change them out due to cupping in the front. (Probably GL1800 issue?)
The lops that come oem on my 2010 SG are Bias, and are multi compound harder in the middle and softer on the sides, they slip a bit more on the snakes, and not as much grip in water, but at 13k I easily have around 6/32 left, and thats after others recommending i change them out before my 4k mile sturgis trip this month due to the chip seal used in that area. I'm glad i waited, next tires will be the American Elites.

I just put metz 880s on my 03 Fatboy yesterday. They did not groove track when I went over the bridge to get home and handled great in the rain and wind. The big thing that the shop owner emphasized to me with the metz was to make sure I keep the tire pressures up in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. The metz pressures are higher than the stock dunlops that I had on my bike before.

I've read several posts about Metz needing higher pressure than stock tires; however, I haven't seen anyone post the manufacturers reccommended pressure.

Can you post that for us?
