I don't have any pics yet, but i just installed a Long Ride Shields 8" Stealth on mine! I'm lovin it so far. At the same time i installed the LRS Hawg Wings too. I have no buffeting now, but riding 2up....my wife says she can't tell the difference.
I test rode a 2012 Street-glide a few days ago and the wind buffeting was really bad at about 50mph. I also rode a Road King and that was just wind and felt great.
I had Buffeting on my old BMW GS and that bike had a small fairing and same size windshield as the Street Glide.
I guess most people fix the problem on the Street Glide with different shields but I wonder how many owners just live with being wind slapped in the face?
I was truly amazed at the buffeting on the Street Glide and I cannot believe that very expensive bike leaves the factory with that little piece of plastic that does nothing.
The guy at the dealer played dumb at first about the buffeting issue before I left for my test ride but he seem to know all about it when I got back.
They really should just offer a free windshield upgrade allowance on the bike.
When I bought my SG, I told the salesman that unless he threw in a better shield there was no deal. He added a 7" shield that helped quite a bit, but I later added a Clearview 8" recurve. That combined with a 1" drop from my C&C seat has made riding more of a pleasure.
