My suggestion to the original poster is to find a dyno shop and ask their technician/s the same question you asked on here. In my experience, the techs who do dynos and programming and have a vast knowledge about PCV would never slam you for asking a questions such as the one you have asked. They actually invite you to ask because they love to talk about what they know.

 

There are quite a few who buy products with no inclination as to what they are or why. Granted this board is to help, you are in the engine performance end of things and this is most certainley not an area for novices... Take the advice given and take it to a dyno shop. They will set it up and probably help you understand how it works.
