Power Commander V
1st impressions:
1. Throttle response much improved. I can actually pratice the friction zone now.
2. It was a cool day today, 72, but Limited and trike both seemed noticably cooler on the right, especially the trike.
3. Feel of a modest increase in power but certainly not 14 hp that I have seen advertised. But in fairness, I aready had the air cleaner and pipes so I wouldn't expect to see a lot more power with just the Commander and cat gut.
Got the PCV from Fuel Moto and all was very satisfactory. These guys seem to be very knowledgable, and everything was as advertised and timely.
Time will be the big decider, but am very pleased with the first ride.

The PCV is a dated fooler type programming tuner. There are so many more tuners out there that properly tune your new bike like they should be. I hate to see guys buy brand new bikes and disable part of the operating systems with a fooler type tuner.
I understand Fuelmoto is making a buck on them and I know they spent a lot of time providing maps that work decent enough through their research but a $20,000+ bike deserves a better up to date operating system!

Many do not want to go to the dealer to get the sepst to work properly or pay for 4-6 hours worth of dyno time.
The PV is still kind of new,(1.5 years old) and I don't know too many dyno-ers who use it, do you?
The PC-V is still a great unit, and can be utilized by most.
Last I heard there was no such thing as an "auto tuner."
Even the Dynojet AT 100 only adjusts + or - 20 degrees, is my understanding.

You do not have to dyno them! Everyone thinks that and the transfer of this (bad) information keeps all you guys running to put your head in the sand.
For a stage 1 though, no dyno is necessary, however for a stage 1 with cams, you are generally better off getting a dyno, not always but most of the time.
Been there, done that myself.
Then again you can try and "wing it" w/out a dyno and again you may do alright and have no issues, but again for optimal performance you probably should do a dyno.
I doubt many on this forum will disagree with this..
I'm sure there will be a few though..
