Thanks guys. Checking out ***** Shiny right now. I actually just found another set on Ebay for $190 plus $19 shipping and I get to keep my old ones or send back for a rebate. Appreciate the help.
I bought the black cowbells from hd. but the blacked out legs from ***** shiny are the bomb.
skip hd on those. if you look at them, you'll notice that the side of the fork leg facing inside is rough and they just cover over it. ***** shiny (and others probably) will machine the inside of the lower so the entire piece is nice and smooth. well worth it.
The Chrome lowers from the Mothership are not polished out on the inside of the legs. Your best option is to go with *****-Shiny, Arlen Ness, Hawg Halters, or The chrome Exchange. All of the above have a much more finished product. So, it's time for you to do some surfing!
