Age
66 been riding since I was 12 years old on a old Indian. Rode all kinds over the years. The ones that stand out are the big harley's Ive owned from a 1948 74 with springer front end and tank shifter suicide clutch to my present 07 EG classic. A bunch in between. Had a Uncle that rode big Indians and Harley's till he couldnt hold the weight then at 82 was on a 125 Honda still riding, half blind carrying his beer in a milk carton bungy strapped to the back. Kids finally had to put a stop to it because of eyesight. He died a year after. Hope I'm half as lucky as him to enjoy the ride as long.
33 with a 07 sg. i get the old man bike thing alot. but that's ok. i've got bags with jackets and gloves and sun tan lotion and rain gear and cd's and snacks and drinks and lots of other stuff. ok so maybe i am gettn to be older. i can live with that. i'm not cold, sun burnned hungry or thirsty, and when i'm tired of listening to a cd i change it! i guess that smarter with age thing is true!
44 with a Road King Classic... I still have my '99 Valkyrie Interstate I bought at 36... I had a Kawasaki Concours Sport Tourer when I was in my mid 20s... I've had non-touring bikes in between and during, but the ability to carry 'stuff' when I just want to go is why I have them... No special tie downs or gym bags... just throw crap in the saddlebags and GO!
35 on a Road King Classic as well (although I've take a lot of the "classic" off of it). A bagger will always be my primary bike cuz I like to tote around a lot of crap plus be prepared for unexpected situations...
