Feel like a fish out of water, but thought I'd put in my 2 cents. Have ridden and/toured on bikes from Aeromacchi to Zundapp, my only touring Harley was a 1980FLT. Loved the fairing and ride, but do my own maintenance and found it a nightmare to get at anything without disassembling half the bike. It fell over once in soft ground and I wasn't able to right it. Getting too old I guess. Sold it and built my own(see atavar). Easy to work on, great EVO, and not too uncomfortable for the 120mi a whack the 3 gal tank provides. Have added padding to the seat to compensate for the loss of my butt and am reliving my youth one kick at a time. 60 yrs and still crazy.

Just in case it bothers you as to what others say then you are wasting time enjoying yourself. I am 57 with a 07 uc. My cousin has a 07 lr and when I traded up to a uc he gave me the same thing untill he rode my uc. Now he is wishing he had got a uc oh he is only 27
