This!
Wow...thats pretty much exactly what I've had in mind for quite some time. If you don't mind me askin', roughly how much do you estimate all the powder coating cost you?
I'm gonna guess around $600 give or take. You may find cheaper BUT, you won't find BETTER. I personally in doing it once and doing in RIGHT.
man your bike came out great man!!!! M361 shoot me a PM and we can talk bud more than happy to help you out... ont he chrome it really depends on the part and the chrome job. some chrome has to be removed while others can be prepped and blasted then coated... depends how the part reacts when we have it in the shop

I'm still bringing you some bits this winter, just trying to sort out what might fit my budget the best.
I have had problems with local powder coating and will keep you in mind. Exhaust has been ceramic coated inside and out; looks good and fairly durable but it will scratch. I preter the look of anodizing on pieces like front forks, A/C cover, rocker boxes, etc.; looks more "hot rod" to me. There is family owned metal finishing company not to far from me, third generation running it now. Anodizing will not chip as easy as powder coating but it will scratch and does have low to moderate wear resistance but that can be improved with increasing thickness or by applying suitable sealing substances.
