One of the easiest and best mods you can do. I keep my garage door opener suspended in the right one and as I pull up to the garage door, just a quick flip of the door,I can push the opener button and I am in without stopping. Now I don't need to purchase the HD garage door opener now.
Finally got the Quick Flap Magnetic Doors and installed them. Straight-forward, though it seemed that using the plier-method to remove the 'push pins' was going to crack or break something. Drilled one out, but didn't like that method either. Went with cutting them off from the back-side using a Dremel Multi-Max and it went a lot smoother.
Well it's a shame that they cost so much and an even bigger shame that they aren't stock. The stock ones are almost useless; these make the glove boxes functional.
Are the doors flexible like the stock ones or do they have metal or plastic to make them more solid. I'm wondering if you could install a lock or **** in them to keep them closed so a drink holder could be mounted on one. I'm not so much concerned about security as I am about their ability to support the weight of a cuppajava.

They aren't stiff enough for any of that. They are just like the stockers but with a kind of "hinge" crease at the bottom.
Sure is nice to have access to the glovebox when underway. I enjoy long distance riding and would occasionally remove the left door entirely in order to put some energy snacks in there. Don't need to worry about that stuff getting wet anymore. This is one of the most functional mods I've made.
I was looking at these the other day and actually added them to my HD wishlist. We haven't been able to take a long trip yet(400miles one way is our longest so far) so I haven't even used the boxes. But I know what a PITA they are because all my family and buddies always look at my bike and say "Hey, what's this??" as they pull them open making me curse under my breathe!
