I would not worry about crank welding, etc. for this kit. If considering pullilng lower unit for crank work, case boring etc. or new cases, you are now in striking distance of the 120R kit.
revamped, mva heads, 259e cams, way more torque down low. I would put my order in early, can you say backorder? this is gonna have the after market boys mumbling!
100 ft lbs at 2500, peaks at 4500 with 115, 118 hp at 6 grand, Im jealous.
Are those numbers at the rear wheel or the typical way HD gives figures at the crank? What pipe was used to make those numbers?
After market is not going to be mumbling about much in my opinion. My aftermarket 103" makes 100 ft lbs at 2,250, peaks at 3,500 with 120 and peak hp of 114 at 5800. That's all with a stock throttle body and injectors.
This is a nice solid kit from HD that likely can be improved on by doing a head clean-up and making sure piston to cylinder fit and deck height is optimized. Doubt any of the big head porters or engine builders are going to worry about it taking away business though.

I would have to say at the wheel as those numbers are very close to what I got out of my 103 stage IV. but the new cam 259E's bring the tq on much sooner than my 260's that came with my 2010 kit
I built my own kit out of SE parts one part at a time
there was a couple of mistakes made one I got the
wrong pistons and two I got the wrong cams that
mistake cost me 300.00 bucks. The 07 SE Pro Racing
book was my best friend for a long time

I just did this kit and I chose to have my crank welded considering that's Harley's weak link. I'm running Rineharts true Duals & SE heavy breather. My Dyno #s are. 114 hp & 114 ft lbs tq. Can post pics from my IPhone but page 375 of sticky " Dyno #s for baggers has my pics!
