Wow awesome pics FireDog, thanks alot. Now I totally get it. That baffle is definitely tucked up in there! Only can see it from the rear almost.

Now what's your impression of it? Sounds like most guys claim a noticeable improvement. I'm not bothered by buffeting much, but what the heck it might be something I didn't even realize would be an improvement so for $27 how can you go wrong?

Also I'm wondering if this baffle deflects air to the front cylinder in a way that improves cooling? Can anyone chime in on that angle?

Thanks guys!

Yeah thanks guys I can see how it would prevent air from shooting up from below. Nifty idea. I'll be getting one of these this week hopefully!

I went out yesterday for a spin to check it. I did notice a difference in the updraft. And while it's 100+ degrees here in God's country, every little bit helps. Only draft I get now comes up my legs from under the wing.

I just looked at my bike to see where the baffle would be mounted and I said to myself, "I can make that at work". So tomorrow, I think I'll be making a couple different baffles out of stainless or diamond plate.

Why bother? I bought the vivid black one at the dealer for less than $15. One thing I did notice tho, tap those threaded screw holes or ......

Does this thing deflect more air than the stock one, or is it the same thing except chrome?

I have every wind blocker available sans a fairing and engine guard vented fairing things. Have the half moon under the triple tree, have the lower chrome wind deflectors by the forks, have a new Clearview GT24L shield, have the handlebar grip wind deflectors from National Cycle, and when temps permit I use an engine guard chap from Airlite in Canada. Now that thing really frickin works. Can't use it very often tho. Really screws with your mpg on the highway. But boy does it shield and create warmth in the colder environs.

At the end of the day...it's a bike and there's supposed to be wind, especially with our air cooled machines. Think it would be kinda boring without it. Kinda like a Goldwing experience. Although at some point I might consider picking up an old used Winger for a couple grand just for diversity.
