changing front tire and found right side bearing missing some *****,I've looked and can't find a timpkin or after market part #,can any body help me.

 

Sorry...I know you are looking for some assistance, but if you don't mind me asking...how many miles do you have on it? I also have an '08 SG. Wondering if this is something I need to check soon. Did you have some symptoms or just found it when you were changing the tire?

I have a friend that the same thing happened on her 08 SG and the repair was covered iunder warranty.

 

I had tires done at 16k on my 10 sg had some noisys dealer replaced front and rear bearing while doing the tire change

 

I found an a/m bearing thru a commercial bearing house. Replaced all four. Had a front failure in less than 2,000 miles. Went back to the HD's at double the price. They are now made in Slovakia instead of China if that makes a diff.

 

16,300 miles,found while changing front tire for 7000 mile trip,budies bike has 12000 miles on it and they are failing as well( missing *****)and those part #'s 9252 are they for hd or aftermarket

 

So are there any tell-tell symptoms to watch for when the bearings are going bad or is this something you can only find during a tire change?

 

oops I forgot to say i have ABS

 

Oh...I don't have ABS. So...is this an ABS related issue then? I just went over 14k miles and I haven't noticed anything unusual up front.
