Crazy but attack the source too. The Ortho 6-month stuff works well - see if you can trace their path and spray around the house and garage.

You could try dryer sheets - they are said to keep rodents away. It can't hurt to zip tie one to each wiring harness going to each gauge.

You could sprinkle some of that white powder ant poison in the fairing. It might be interesting trying to explain if you got stopped for a ticket though. How often do you ride it?

Ride the bike every day and the ants won't have a chance to nest. Seriously, I would take the fairing apart, clean, and have some kind of insecticide near where you park your bike. BTW, that bug joke was funny..

I sure haven't had that happen but they will get on my fairing sometimes and go for the bugs.

Pop your faring clean out the obvious ants then get Terro traps this will get rid of the source for sure, I liv in Fla and this is the only stuff that works 100%. Home depot carrys this stuff, I use the version below in link.

Pull the gauge and attach a shop vac to the back side and suck those eggs out.

Don't know about ants. I have used peppermint oil soaked on cotton ***** & placed under fairing to keep rats out works very well. May have reverse effect on ants.
