This buffeting thing is very unique to each rider/bike, I am 6'1" with fairly short legs and a 7 inch recurve by Freedom shield eliminated 95 percent of my problem, stock seat and stock bars. No issues at any speed and I use a non-dot half helmet and a 3/4 Shoei RJ platinum.
