Thas an absolutely ridiculous amount of money. Its an easy job to do even if you are not all that mechanically inclined. I know that I have much better things I can do with 400.00!

I have to chime in here after reading the comment on vivid black not being worth the effort to paint and the prices some are paying. I had mine done on my vivid black SG and what a difference !!! Like a whole new bike looks wise. Price ....I did the labor and it cost me $100 to get painted. Took another inner I picked up thru a trade and had the mirror holes filled in and painted black also for $125.00. Guy did an excellent job so don't pay an arm and a leg to have this done. Took me about 6-7 hours to tear down and reassemble newly painted one. I took my time since I was in no hurry over the winter.
Had mine painted vivid black to match. No more dust than stock. I warn you that if it doesnt get painted it will eventually start to turn white from sun bleach down where it meets the forks. Mine did. Looks like a show bike now that it is painted.
Mine came in from Harley with a paint problem and they said they would give me 10% off and I said return it for another and they did.
hmmmm I hope mine comes run or orange peel free cause the dealer I ordered it threw said it is within barely standard and would not be able to return. We will see cause I wont have it installed if its not blemish free.
After reading all this I know I'm doing it my self, for one I know I'll do it right and will not leave anything half azz undone because I'm not in a hurry and two I can get more stuff with what I'll save in labor.
And I'm not getting it from MOCO, I just spoke with a friend with a body shop and he has a guy that can match the paint no problems, I'm not doing it like in Tequila, I'm doing it in the solid HD Orange, but I'm going to wait a bit, I want to ride the bike a bit I only got 360 miles on it, and once I got it appart I'm concidering painting the lowers as well intead of chrome, just to be different....now if only all this silly rain goes away I can pile in some miles.
Thanks for all your posts guys.
