With all the advancement in helmet design & technology why in the world would you wear a non DOT helmet? If you have to wear one why not wear one that actually might save your life. We don't have a helmet law here in Kansas, but I wear one. Mostly because my wife says I have to. Guess she still loves me after 29 years.

After I wrote that post I realized I probably would get some flak from someone about the non-DOT helmet comment. All I got to say is it's my choice. Been riding for 35+ years and never been in the situation where a helmet has saved me and hopefully never will be.
For what its worth, I also have a Bell 3/4 helmet, an Arai fullface, and an Simpson full face that I wear normally. Different helmets for different moods. To each his own.
