any big mileage riders out there?
basically looking to see how many miles you guys are putting on your bikes and who is still running strong with out engine issues.
01 Ultra bought Nov. 07 with 4995 miles. Just rolled 40000 and other than a lifter going bad at 13000 no other problems. Added gear drive cams when replacing lifters and only other issue was a PCIII taking out ECM fuse.
2000 with 104K, 82K on a built 103, P&P heads, Crane 570 lift cam & springs, 10.2 comp, replaced the head gaskets a couple of years ago because of oil seapage & went with hyd tensioners at 68K on the engine, otherwise no problems & I average about 42-45 mpg with MM FI.
I'm not nearly as high up as these guys; but I took delivery of my '09 Ultra in July of '09 and have about 27k on her; not one issue. No real mods though; just slip ons/stage one DL and AC
New to me Auqust 2007 at 23,900 miles. Just turned 93,000 miles last week.
After 2 stator failures, replaced charging system with Compu Fire 3 Phase and no more problems with stators.
At 67,000 miles, drove home from Myrtle Beach with a small crack in the Y Pipe. (didn't know it.) Next morning hung an exhaust valve on startup which tapped the piston. Replaced both heads with clean take offs and got a new exhaust.
