Default PCV Installation Question

Tried search feature and youtube and no one has mentioned it. On the PCV Connector there is a light gray plastic thingie that I assume is a locking feature. Has it got to be in a certain position to remove or install. Instructions do not mention it. Don't want to break anything so i'm asking the folks here for advice/directions. Thanks.

It is just like the connector you take off the ecm. make sure it is fully unlatched before unpluging or puging in the unit then flip to the closed position you will notice as you lock it that it is drawing the two connectors closer together.
