I recently purchased a set of HD Roadwinder wheels (18' front and 17" rear ) off of an 08 FLHRSE to put on my 06 Street Glide.. the rear rim is 4.5" wide and now has a 170 tire on it... I see alot of post saying you can run a 160 on the rear of a 06 street glide (but most stating this with stock width or skinnier than a 4.5" wheel) ... I know the wider wheel will make the tire seem wider .. So any suggestions ? Should I use a 150 or 160 with this setup ? I cant afford to buy the 160 then set it aside if it doesnt work....
also i plan on changing the front wheel bearings to 1.000'"and using the bearing spacer between the bearings from the 08' - correct ??? so that will eliminate the problems with the front wheel being an ABS and my bike not being ABS correct ?? and I heard I must use the axle/wheel position spacers from the 08' correct ??/
would the same thing work on the rear ? the 08' bearings are also 25mm ....so I would swap them out for 1.000" bearings also correct ? and I would use the spacer between the bearings of the 08' wheels ? correct ???
Is the ABS on the front wheel only or on both ?
