I have a KWs smoked 81/2”. I was happy with it for awhile; however, it was suppose to be able to bend and not break. Well I have had mine for two years and I have cracks at the base where it bolts into the batwing. When I got the windshield, I bought a Black windshield. I couldn't see through it at all. Since I am 5-5, I need to look through the windshield to ride. When I called KW, their customer service was horrible. I liked the look of their windshield. Even though they basically told me to pound sand, I bought a smoked one anyway. Now with the cracks at the bottom and my past customer service experience, I wont be getting another one and I don't recommend them to anyone.
I have one on my 2011 Ultra Classic Limited and like it a lot! I didn't realize that
HD made a 10" Winsplitter also. Is this a new item (Part No) ? Mine is the 7" Windsplitter (Part No: 57164-10). If they have a new 10" one out, I'd be interested in trying one out.

for this year, they came out with several new windsplitters, for the roadglide, and the eglides.....
57166-10A 12'' smoked (wonder what they changed for the A suffix?)
57400093 9'' smoked
57400094 15'' smoked
they all say smoked, but i know that on my 15'', it seems pretty clear. so the shorter, and original are pretty dark, but the taller of the new models looks like it might be just the slightest hint of tinted....

Anyone know if these will work with fairing mirrors? I can't find a pic from the drivers view?
KW 6,5 on my Ultra. It works well and looks good, higher ones doesn't look as good for me.
Man that does look good! Especially with your black paint. I am currently using a 10" standard type shield. I am 6 ft and look over the top of it. I didn't think going shorter would provide enough protection. How tall are you and how well does it work protecting you from the wind and rain?
Look at Klockwerks and Clearview Shields before you buy. I went with the Clearview 12" Recurve because it let me keep my 3 pouch windshield bags on my EG Classic and you can use Rain-X on it. It also look a little less radical than Klockwerks.
I sit a little tall in the saddle so the 12" works for me but they come in all sizes. The Klockwerks probably has better wind diversion around the rider but the Clearview is a great improvement over stock.
