I know I am dredging up an old thread, but, I had the same problem with a broken idler gear.
Called all the Harley shops and got the same answer ... NLA
I remember a friend that works at a starter generator shop telling me that it was the same type starter as used on some Toyotas
so after a little research I came up with a Toyota part number that looks like it will fit.
I also will dredge up this old thread, I am thankful NitroBerserker took the time to look this up and post the part number. I replaced the starter clutch on the wife's Dyna and found a tooth broke on this gear.
Not seeing a reply if the part works or not I went ahead and order the Toyota # 28254 64130 ($8.00 + $17.00 shipping) and it is an exact match. A lot better than replacing a $360.00 starter for an $8.00 gear.
