Did changing to the 17" wheel raise the rear or lower it? Been thinking of doing the same. I still have the stock rear wheel in the back and was going to change to 17" blank wheel.
Compare overall diameter specs of the tire you currently have (16" wheel) to the one you'd like to install on the 17" wheel. This would be a good indication of whether raising or lowering the rear of the bike is necessary. I suspect both tire diameters are about the same.

This is a good point. You also have to consider that you only account for half of the difference in the two diameters. In other words, a more accurate picture of the height difference will be seen by comparing the difference in overall RADIUS (from axle to ground).
Can anybody tell me who makes this wheel? I bought the bike used and i've been trying to figure out who makes it. I looked for some markings on it, but couldn't find any. Thanks
