Finally completed the 16"/21" swap on my '16 SGS last night. It was late so just garage photos for now. I know I'm late to the blacked out theme and its already old to some but "I" had to have something different from my past bikes. I can already see that the black parts will take a little extra caution on caring for just like black paint.

Question for those that have changed out their front wheel to a 21", do you also change the rear wheel to keep both wheels matching or because the bags hid the rear wheel that you only change the front? I would like to put a 21" front wheel on my Road King and to do both is pricey.

It depends on the rim ad well as your future plans. If I left my rim contrast I would have left my rear contrast. If I planned on stretched bbags I wouldn't have done anything. I bought the bike with a chrome exchange rear so I chrome plated the front. I feel like you should at least match the finish.

You don't have to change the rear to match, strictly preference. However, you have 2 options if you have linked ABS brakes. You have to run the HD exclusively Breakout tire 130/60-21 to be within specs of the rear tires size and ABS to work properly or purchase the TracMax programmer that will allow you to run another brand of 21" tire in the front. The TracMax changes the front wheel speed to match up to the original rear speed.

... 3rd option is PM (I think) has a special bearing setup in their 21" wheels that takes the place of the TracMax. - need to do your homework on that one.
