Put the Pwerpro in a week before the Labor Day weekend. Hook up was like the Cobra Fi2000. Bike had a little trouble with starting the first couple of starts, Idle pooring at first. This cleared after a short run. The next day spend an hour on her, I have a oil Temp gauge in my 07 Ultra which runs about 180 most of the summer. That day it ran at 220 to 240. The day after that I ran for a couple hours, MPG was about 40. Everything seemed ok, but nothing to make it worth the $700. Price included install by local shop that has done a lot of Cobra Tuners.
Rode to Mt Rushmore, 1500 Miles around trip on Labor day week end from Wichita, Ks. By the time I got there the bike would die at about evey stop unless I kept it running. She started hard almost every time and She would not pull most hills with out loosing speed, Bro's with me always had to back off if I was in the lead. MPG went from 32 to 40. 40 must of been down hill. It powered up slowly and could not keep it. Black smoke roll out of her during power ups. Oil temp read hot the whole trip. Even at 50 dregees out side in mornings. Got teased a lot about needing a push.
Unplugged Tuner before heading home, Bike ride good again. Ran great without that Tuner hooked up.
Read first here before you buy that junk. Hate to say it but ya get what ya pay for. People bash the dealers and the SE Tuner and Dyno time but i have not had a problem one ! ! !

Once a Marine, Always a Marine
http://www.fuelmotousa.com/pcvharley.htm ask for Jamie,
he'll hook you up for half of what you paid for above, it will be mapped to your specs, when it arrives, just plug n' play, comes complete with software and great support if need be.
I also installed the Powerpro Autotune on mine just before leaving for Colorado and South Dakota. Like you had same exact symptoms and called Cobra. Sent me a replacement overnight and after install, bike starts up, idles great and runs strong. Gettinng 40 mpg 2-up with 60 lbs of luggage and great throttle response. Pulled plugs last night after getting home and both look great. Couldn't be happier. Took a new PCIII off for the Cobra as the old Dynajet went bad and took out ECM fuse and didn't want that to happen on trip and have no intention of putting it back on as long as the Powerpro keeps doing what it's doing.
Have you called Cobra before complaining? If you go through the posts on this site you will find dozens and dozens and dozens of complaints about the Power Commander, V&H Fuel Pack, Thundermax and every other tuner on the market. What separates the wheat from the chaff is customer service when there are problems. Are you sure your Indy put on the right model? Maybe you need to find a new Indy if they charged you $200.00 for a 1/2 hour install of a plug and play device.
Yep sounds familar, I got mine installed, Damn thing ran on the Front cyl only, Called to complain to C/S at Cobra, they took 2 weeks to replace it, The replacement works okay, a little darking of the L/H pipe, but it seems to run a little cooler, I dont have any temp gages, so it maybe all in my head.. I should have researched it some before commiting. This is my first H/D, Lovin every ride...
