I wanted to do the tail of the dragon before coming out here. But I was too busy getting my house ready to rent out and I wasn't able to go anywhere cool. Oh well.... As far as the one mentioned here goes, maybe towards the end of my tour. I won't like.... I love to ride, but I am still apprehensive a lot of times with taking corners.
Yes... I can take a ferry over. I plan to do that eventually and then ride up to Germany. Will probably be a 2 week vacation.
By the way, I love your Road King Custom. I had the same bike up until March when I traded her in for my Street Glide. Love my glide, but wish I
kept the King. So much cheaper.
I ride quite a bit on the continent and there are some amazing rides. If you want to get up to Germany, GrossGlockner is obligatory!
I just left Naples after about 3 years, just licensed my bike yesterday. The riding is great!! As mentioned above, do the Amalfi Coast, is is great fun, but be careful, roads are slick and narrow. Get up to Naples, there is a great riding group up there. Most of them are at Bike Week right now (Faaker See, Austria). Enjoy and be safe!!

If I remember correctly, I was talking to you a while back when I was waiting to come out here. Is that correct? I will get to Naples eventually, but I want to do some good Island riding first.
