110" CVO overheating problems ?
Now is any state testing smog yet on these CAT bikes? I am in California and I don't believe they are smog testing these new models yet. Or should we just buy a new set of X pipes and save the stock units for every two year required testing?
For now I'll hold off on buying a new 110.

I got mine on Sep. 6. The 103 I had before ran hot and I had ordered a set of Fuelmoto's ceramic coated headpipes. I will be using those in the CVO.
I will post an update once the headpipe is installed. But do a search here, I remember someone posting the actual temp differences....

Right on! I don't want to ride around with a CAT that overheats my bike. We had a guy lose his rear cylinder on the way to Sturgis this year, he woulnd up taking AMTRAK back home because their were no heads available West of Texas at that time for an 88. We were stuck in traffic and his bike cracked the exhaust valve support and the valve guide went in to the exhaust port, that is the hottest part of these bikes is the rear exhaust port. Cracked their and dropped the valve. He was riding an 06 Softail with no oil cooler. So I just put on an oil cooler with a Jagg 4700 thermostat aapter on my 06 Road glide.
Let me know how those pipes work out as excessive heat kills bikes.
