Default another oil thread - sort of

havent seen a oil thread in a while so I figure I'll break the ice. Recently replaced my magnetic drain plugs with wiz bang super strength magnetic plugs. Which of course means I had to drain the oils. Found some chips on the old plugs and after the old oil settled quite a few that the mag plug did not get. So I went down to the local parts store to buy the cheapest oil I could get knowing that I would be draining it again real soon to see how well the new mag plugs work. Found some diesel oil for 13 bucks a gallon. 15W40 dino. Poured it in and found that the bike ran pretty good on that dino stuff. Will probally drain again to see how much metal get picked up by the wiz bang plugs. Maybe I'll stay with the dino oil for the upcoming cooler months.

won't have a review until I put a few miles on the bike and pull the plugs again. I can tell you that the oem mag plugs were able to pick up the second smallest allen wrench from the touring tool kit and the new mag plug was able to pick up all the allen wrenches. So I am hoping the new plug can collect the metal debris that normally comes out with the oil drain and settles at the bottom of the container I use to take oil to recycle.
