Default Security Light Stuck On..

The little red key is staying on all the time on my speedometer and I don't know why??? When I start the bike it goes off and then comes back on and stays on the whole time I ride. Anyone have any ideas????
Thanks..

Does your bike have security? Have you checked for service codes? This would be two reasons why your security indicator is illuminated (it's talking to you)...

I had the same problem on my '07 NT when I changed my turn signals to LED. Once I installed a load equalizer it went back to normal operation. Not sure if this helps you at all, just answerin' your question with my experience of the same type situation.

I'm really not sure if my new bike does have security on it. I never received a key fob. On these new bikes, how do you bring up the codes. I know on my last bike you had to do something with the odometer?? Any help would be appreciated..

Regardless of if you have or don't have security on your bike, the light coming on is indicating stored diagnostic codes.

Very interesting. I still have to get the repair manual for this bike. Does the repair manual cover this in it??

Could someone tell me the exact procedure to bring up the codes on these new bikes? If not I will have to wait until I get my repair manual. Thanks!!!
