Has anybody used this combination of oils for their bike? I know Red Line makes a good product and I like the specific designs for each application, engine, tranny and primary. Seems that Red Line has taken more of an interest in motorcycle (big twin) than any of the others.
Included in Red Line Big Twin Power Pack
Includes 5 quarts of 20W50 Motorcycle Oil, 1 quart of V-Twin Transmission Oil with ShockProof, 1 quart of Primary Chain Case Oil, 1 bottle of Fuel Injection Cleaner for Motorcycles
I use the power pack on both bikes (Wife's Tri-Glide and my Road King). Really happy with the products, VERY high quality... hard to find around here (OK) so I order from www.racerpartswholesale.com
and have had great service from them, very good price also.
Some folks will say you need more Primary Chain Case Lube, since you technically need about 4 more oz to be right in spec, I run just the 1 quart and that brings the level up to the bottom of the clutch basket.
I like the Power Pack! Use it in my FLHX and the wife's FLSTN. I ordered an extra quart of Primary oil so I can put the total required fluid in the Primary. Next couple of changes I'll just order the kit as I have left over Primary oil.
double check the spec's on your primary.....1qt is not enough depending on the year some bikes need 38oz, some need 45oz. If you do a hot and quick drain and fill, you might get by with just the 32oz since there will be a few onces of splashy splashy on everything internal in your primary. But on a cold been sitting for a while drain and refill, 32oz is not enough.
