I liked the stock 4" windshield, but needed just a little extra for highway travel (which I have been doing a lot more of since trading up from the Suzi). I got a 6" Klock Werks Flare, which gave me what I was looking for. If I wasn't doing highway on a semi-regular basis, then the 4" would still be on there.

I have a 2011 SG. Tried the WindSplitter, Cee Baileys, and have now settled on a KlokWerks 6.5, which is the most effective for my height. Also allows for better stereo sound due to the direction in which the screen deflects the wind!

Changing the windshield on a streetglide is pretty quick and the shields come pretty cheap. I'm sure you would have to spend a lot more to have a few roadking windshields. My 4" stays on 80% of the time, but for longer rides or colder rides I'll switch over to my 6 1/2 Klock werks or 9" LRS. It's nice to have options!

Went to a 9" Windvest 'cause the top of the stock shield was directly in my line of sight.

Same here other than the fact I like tinted windshields better.

Replaced mine on the UC because the top of the stock sheild was right in myline of sight in turns. Got a 9" standard flip LRS and it works great. Also, could never get used to seeing through the sheild, always made me feel like I was missing something or something was being blocked. Can't explain it any better than that, just didn't like it.

I will replace this when it gets trashed but will probably stay at stock height. I've never had any problems looking through a shield. I forget it's there until something bounces off it.

Same, too tall of a windshield. Don't like looking through it.

I'm with you there; even went 1/2 inch taller.

Alaska winds + stock FLHX shield... No thanks. Went with the KW 8.5" and it works great for up here. Kept the stocker around just in case until my Dad wanted to switch to a short shield on his Ultra. He loves the short shield opposed to his stock one. I may try it again if I ever move back to the lower 48 or if the heat wave ever makes it up here.
