I just installed the Performance Baffles in my 4" Rinehart pipes. My last bike had the 3.5" pipes with V&H Dresser Duals and that setup sounded great. I now have the Power Duals with the bigger pipes and it just didn't sound as good as my '09. I briefly toyed with the notion of running w/o baffles, but it just wasn't an option. I'm pleased to report that the Performance Baffles have hit all the right notes!

The only optional baffles Rinehart offers are for 3-1/2" mufflers. Where did you come up with performance baffles for 4" ?
In your opinion would the 3-1/2" Rineharts with dresser duals be too loud or just right if the baffles were changed to 2-1/2" baffles like you installed in your 4" Rineharts?
I ran the 3.5" pipes, dresser duals, and 2.25" baffles on my '09 SG and loved it. My '09 was the third bagger I've driven with that same setup. Since the '12 has the 103 I figured I'd change it up a bit. If I hadn't gone to the power duals I probably wouldn't have fiddled with the baffles at all. That's not to say I wouldn't have tried the bigger baffles eventually, quite frankly I wasn't aware of them. Since I wasn't quite happy with the sound my current exhaust system was producing I started calling buddies, crawling the forums, and talking to my dealer. The cross over gives me a little more power, but I think it deadens the sound a bit. Luckily the baffles gave me the sound I wanted. My next step was going to be swap out the power duals for the dresser duals.
To answer your question I think "true dual" headers and Rineharts with the 2.25" baffles sound great, but I bet the bigger baffles will give it more "punch". Sorry for the windy answer, all I've done lately is live, sleep, and dream about exhaust systems!!!
Power duals suck. They break down the true harmonics of a v-twin and take away a bunch of sound.
A friend of mine had his crack at the x-pipe and had to be replaced after 7,000 miles.
You might gain 1 or 2 horses but not worth it.
