Mine is lowered with springs and shocks. I just air them up according to what I'm doing and haven't had any complaints yet. To me any loss of whatever is worth being flat footed and having a little lower center of gravity.

Just add air ride and adjust on the fly to whatever road conditions you encounter. Added one to my EG classic this past weekend and my 06 ultra is next. Cost- Less than stock shocks- About 200 bucks. Shocks have a lifetime warranty.
