Does anyone know if there is a difference between a '08 clutch cable and a '05 clutch cable?
I can't imagine anything has changed that would make them different, but I would like some info before buying.
Steve
Doubt there is a difference but when HD changed frames they may have changed the cable.
Did you do much riding this year? We did not, trying to gear up for retirement meaning getting all big projects done and behind us.This was a stella season for that.Dog (Mike)
I have the stock clutch cable from my '05 FLHTCI that only has about 15k miles on it....I changed cables when I went to the 2" pullback handlebars. In PERFECT SHAPE.
Free shipping.....lemme know what ya' think it's worth....NO gouging....I'll be plenty fair.
Call my cell if ya want....I'll pm ya' the number...If I can't answer, leave a message & I'll get back wif ya.
While doing a good look-over and service today on the bike, I found that my clutch cable is coming apart at the adjuster. The outer cable has pulled out of the metal crimped part of the adjuster. Looks like it's time for a new clutch cable.
Is there such a thing as a +2 clutch cable, or is there only +4?
Anyone have a stock or +2 clutch cable laying around?
I also found that my rear rotor is at .218", and the minimum allowed is .205".....so I guess I should start looking for one of those too.
Anyone have a stock rear rotor laying around?
Thanks,
Steve
aah did you say something? I can't get past the avatarrr uhm what?
Kroozeabout.
"The 2008 bikes changed to a 6 speed and the exposed wire is more then the 2005 model. The 05' is 2 3/4" and the 08' is 3 1/2" and it is usually to much to adjust the slack out of."
So it looks like I can't jump on that deal, have to keep looking for a '05 cable.
Anyone have any good mail order places with good pricing?
Hi Steve I just reached the end of my cable also--- I needed a clutch adjustment!!! If you need help, I am up in Skowhegan, maybe we can get together and figure this out. Shoot me a PM if you need help
