38 years I've been riding these Harley beasts and have gone through the AMF days, engine changeovers, funky marketing campaigns and now these EPA restricted engines.
Well, I just bought a 2012 Street Glide on 9/3, rode it a few thousand miles and was pretty impressed with it, but needed more than the stock sound and performance. I've been following Jamie and team on here for years and now I live close enough to deal with them personally. So, yesterday, 9/21, I pulled into their shop at 9:00 in the morning, left around 1:00 in the afternoon and I can't get this stupid grin off my face.
I had them do the Head pipe, Jackpot mufflers, High flow air cleaner, Powervision and the Woods TW-555 cams. It was worth every penny and in fact, I was more than happy with the estimate up front, even happier after I rode it away. Best bang for the buck I have ever spent. This bike rocks now, sounds great and runs, runs, runs. I was amazed, not only with the performance, but also the service by Jamie and Jim.
I watched the whole process and couldn't feel more comfortable putting the fate of my bike in their hands. I would do it again in a heartbeat. It's true what they say on here about the guys there, I am so fortunate to live as close as I do to be able to work with them on a personal level. Best I've seen in my 38 years of riding Harleys.
I wish I lived close enough to take my bike in but those guys are true to their words. If they say they will call you back they do. They are always very helpful and in my case, very patient on the phone.
I could not agree more! When I was there I got to meet Jim. We never here about Jim. After talking with him for a while I was so impressed with his knowledge.
I fully intend to take my bike to them someday. I was originally considering letting HD to my 883-1200 conversion, but I think I'll probably ride up to FuelMoto instead.
The HD dealerships want a *crazy* amount of money for that conversion.
I only ordered over the phone from them and installed myself, but the two guys I talked to were more than helpful. If I lived closer, I would probably get them to install my cams as well.
I agree they are a 1st Class Business. Ive delt with them for 2 bikes and changes from stage 1 to stage 2, 95 on the softail as well as working out some minor bugs in the MAPs and Ive always had great service.
If I lived close enough to them I would probably have them do a custom tune .
This past summer I decided to take in the HD Museum in Milwaukee as we could not get a ticket when we were there in 08 for the 105th. At that time I brought my 08 Road King Classic to Fuel Moto and Keith did an amazing dyno tune on the bike on our way to the 105th celebration. This year I brought my bike (2011 FLHTK Ultra Limited) down to be dyno tuned and have a PCV installed. What an honor to have the man himself, Jamie Long, work on the bike. He was getting ready to leave for Sturgis the next morning and yet took the time to fix me up. The man is a consumate gentleman and a top-notch technician in my books. It was well worth travelling the 1000 miles to get there. If you're teetering on the fence as to whether or not to go there; trust me, you will NOT be sorry.
I've dealt with FuelMoto over the phone and got my set-up from them. Their service is exemplarily.
On a road trip during August I wanted to stop by and meet the guys but both my to and from passes through Wisconsin were on Sunday's and I figured no one would be there.
