I've always put a new Harley battery in my bikes every 2 years...cheap insurance to make sure it fires when I hit the button...120-130 bucks/60-65 bucks a year well worth the peace of mind

It's hard to beat the HD batteries. They are all I have ran in my 3 bikes. The 03 Superglide still has the orig battery in it.

I just bought a harley battery today at the dealer.
In the past I have bought sealed batts from Jireh.

I think one is as good as another being I replace them every 3 years.

I figure the bikes are like boats in that, they should get it before they need it. Minimize breakdowns by preventive maintenance.
I really hate breaking down for something I could have prevented.

Normally, 3-4 years here in AZ. Had Harley batteries but then, when I went to replace it, $178.00 from the dealer. Pulled the original receipt and said, well, 3 years ago you charged me $120.00. I understand inflation but really?

Went to BatteriesPlus - $140. I am still amazed how much money motorcycle batteries cost.

I get the AGM batteries at Walmart. Don't know how long they last yet as I replace the OEM one when they go bad. So none of the replacement ones has gone bad.

They are $77. The first one is at a year and a half. Exide makes them for Walmart.

Well, now we have four manufacturers that make the OEM batteries - I think I'll just buy the HD branded one.

Mine is the original four year old battery and is doing fine but I don't think I'll press my luck much longer.

Anyone heard of Ballistic? I've always used HD batteries, but just heard about these (almost double the price though).

Check out the Odyssey batt.
I have had mine for about 2 years now. Cranks a bit faster. Read up on them.
