Batteries...recommendations?

I have notice resently (last three months) that when my 2009 Road King does a hot
re-start sometime I will get a starter kick back (hell of a noise).
I usually keep my gauge set on range and I have noticed that the gauge will reset to milage when I start the bike.
I have a feeling that both of these are actually hints that my battery is getting weak. The bike is 2 1/2 years old.

Anyone heard of Ballistic? I've always used HD batteries, but just heard about these (almost double the price though).

Lithium-iron,li-fe. Very powerful,very light,average sevice life about 8 yrs. 2 to 3 times the price of a standard battery. Maviryck designs and shorai power are 2 other brands. www.shoraipower.com

Yeah, I saw them but man are they expensive. Are they really worth it?
