Xtraride extended warranty
#11
Ive heard so much good about the HD warranty and that is what I got. A super deal at 1525 for the 7 year with wheel and tire. And got it after the 90 period so that included the extra 150 bucks. At least with RVs, Ive heard so much crap about the third party ones and half of them go bely up. Wouldtell your dealer to get your loot back and get the HD auth one.

naw- it's the same junk they sell at best buy.
and it's the other way around, the extended warranty does do anything until the factory warranty runs out

yes, and no. if you buy a 5 year warranty, and then decide to cancel it and get a refund, you will find that it is prorated from day 1 of the warranty period. and it will only extend the factory warranty for 3 years.

I was mistaken about the length of the warranty I purchased what I meant to say was it is a 3 year extended that starts after the 2 year factory warranty. The card I received today says expires 2016. I actually did not pay 1400 for that looked at the wrong line on my paperwork...
When I talked to the dealer today they said they have been using Xtraride since 2006 and never had any problems. They said the HD extended is underwriten by a third party and is actually more difficult to deal with. They told me more parts are covered and the approval process is much less hassle then with the HD warranty. Also said that xtraride is approved by HD and thats why they can include it in the financing through HD.
Take it for what it is worth guess we will not know until we need it... I know I used the HD waranty on my 03 RKC for my cam tensioners and it only cost me 50 bucks no problems.
On Monday I am going to call Xtraride and ask some questions, if I do not like the answers I will ask the dealer to give me back my money and buy the HD warranty.
